A TECHNICAL CONFERENCE ON AID FOR LIVESTOCK INVESTMENTS HELD

TOOK PLACE IN THE PAST 30 MARCH IN THE ASSEMBLY HALL OF THE COOPERATIVE IN OLVERA

Last 30 March was held in the Assembly Hall of the Cooperative a conference aimed at explaining the upcoming aid on Investments in Agricultural and Livestock Farms that will soon be convened by the Junta de Andalucía.
A first presentation was directed by D. Rafael Martin Ballesteros, Head of the Rural Promotion Service of the Delegation of Agriculture in Cádiz, who explained the requirements that applicants had to meet in order to be eligible for the grants, eligible items, that is to say, those investments that can qualify for this call, aid percentages, as well as the deadlines that were going to be enabled for the Request and the dates related to the resolution and justification, once the investments had been made.
The aforementioned speaker also stated that in this call, and as a novelty, there would be a specific line for the olive grove, in such a way that many investments that a priori could be left out of the general Call on this occasion could opt through this Line.
Explain in this regard that the Bases that regulate the Aid have already been published and that the announcement is pending, marking the deadlines to be able to request it..
From the Cooperative, sufficient technical services can be implemented so that, when the time has come, all those partners interested in requesting the aid, can process it here.
In a second presentation, D. Victorino Vega Macías, IFAPA Alameda del Obispo Technical Specialist, who explained the importance of phytosanitary treatments against pests and diseases and their correlation with the quality of the oils. Likewise, commented how diseases such as Soapy Olives are a growing problem in our olive groves, its strong impact on the quality of the oil obtained, as well as the fighting methods.

VISITS, TASTING AND COURSES

  • They organize guided tastings by technicians from the Cooperative and by technicians from the Olvera Denomination of Origin. They take place in our facilities of the Cooperative. They are aimed at schools, to consumer groups, hospitality schools, etc.
  • They organize you guided tours to the oil mill, checking the entire oil production process from the entry of the olive.
  • They are also organized visits to the field, to check the olive harvest and other crops.
  • They are taught training courses and talks on the cooperative activities.
