HAVE OVER GROUND 17 MILLION KILOS OF OLIVES

The bell 2015/2016 It has been influenced by low rainfall, which has led to the collection has been very fast,, At first, thanks to the high temperatures of the summer (which was a brake on the attack of pests and diseases) with a healthy olive. Nevertheless, the mild temperatures of November and December caused pests and diseases that had not appeared before to emerge late, partially spoiling the fruit.
The lack of rain also caused the olive to not develop correctly and therefore it has not had a record season, as expected. However, more than 17 million kilos of olives, and the average yield has been higher than in other campaigns due to the dehydration of the fruit due to the lack of water.
The olive grove has suffered from the drought and has drawn on its own reserves to support itself, so it has arrived very exhausted at the beginning of the vegetative activity. This will probably have a negative impact on the next campaign. On the other hand, the innovations introduced in the oil mill in 2015 have had a positive impact on the quality of the oils, having improved the physico-chemical and organoleptic parameters in relation to previous campaigns.
