AFFECTS FARMERS WHO DECLARE MORE THAN 15 HECTARES OF CALM LAND

A technical note has recently been published with news related to the CAP campaign 2018 and that affect the Surface of Ecological Interest (THEY).
1- The use of phytosanitary products is prohibited on the surface dedicated to SIE (ecological interest area).
2- The fallow without agricultural or livestock production activity will be 6 consecutive months between 1 January and 30 September of the year of application.
3- The nitrogen-fixing culture (CFN): bean, lentil, garbanzo, pea, broad beans, altramuz, carob, link about alver, yeros, alberjón, alfalfa, zulla or clover computed as SIE, must remain in the ground until the beginning of flowering.
4- In the area declared as SIE planted with CFN, can be mixed with another non-nitrogen-fixing culture, as long as in the mix, more than 50% is from CFN and is the majority in the field.
5- An SIE area declared with CFN should not be followed by fallow.
It should be remembered that files with organic planting area are exempt from compliance with these conditions, having to provide along with the CAP a copy of the certificate of conformity of the control body.

VISITS, TASTING AND COURSES

  • They organize guided tastings by technicians from the Cooperative and by technicians from the Olvera Denomination of Origin. They take place in our facilities of the Cooperative. They are aimed at schools, to consumer groups, hospitality schools, etc.
  • They organize you guided tours to the oil mill, checking the entire oil production process from the entry of the olive.
  • They are also organized visits to the field, to check the olive harvest and other crops.
  • They are taught training courses and talks on the cooperative activities.
